What to Watch For: Beckham, Ronaldinho

On loan from the LA Galaxy, midfielder David Beckham is set to start for AC Milan tonight against his former club,  Manchester United.  Prior to playing for Real Madrid and the LA Galaxy, Beckham spent 10 fruitful years at Man U,  scoring 62 goals for the club.  Beckham has stated that if he scores in the game, he will not celebrate as an homage to his  former club.  The game opens up the knockout round of 16 in the UEFA Champions League.

Even if you’re not a big soccer fan, this is a game that you should watch.  In terms of quality, this is as good as it gets.  We’re talking about two of the top five clubs in the world competing against each other at the legendary San Siro stadium in Milan, Italy.  The game will air at 2:30 ET on Comcast Sportsnet, Fox Sports or Fox Soccer Channel depending on where you live.

The other knockout round Champions League game today is an intriguing matchup between Lyon (FRA) and Real Madrid (SPN).  RM striker Karim Benzema plays against his former French club.

So tune in today…the beautiful game is back in its finest form!  Maybe it’ll even get you a little fired up for the World Cup!
